Following in the footsteps of Jesus, thousands of Christian pilgrims flock to the Yardenit, on the Jordan river, where he is said to have walked on water.
Some arrive to fulfil a lifelong wish, some to feel closer to their religion & some out of simple curiosity.
No matter the reason, the vast majority take this opportunity to partake in the particular baptism ceremony of their faith.
There are those who bathe in the waters in solemn respect.
There are those who do it with a joyful sense of fulfillment or playful fun.
My assignment was to attempt to show the experience these pigrims go through when coming to the Yardenit for baptism.
My time there was limited, but I feel I did a pretty good job considering I only got two opportunities to go before the deadline.
